Managing Trustee- Ms. Savita Ali : is a feminist advocate and human right activist with 15 years of experience on ground level on the issues like Dalit rights, Minority rights, and Women rights and Women empowerment. Presently, as the Managing Trustee of Eva Foundation, she leads and provides overall direction to management of programs, communications and community mobilization systems and activities. She is playing a key role to strengthening the Eva foundation.She has completed BA, LLB, MSW, HR and practicing in high court Patna, Bihar. She is one of the founding members of the Eva foundation.
Member- Ms. Neha Sharma : Neha Sharma, feminist activist, brings a decade of grassroots-level experience in addressing gender, education, and Dalit rights. As a trustee of the Eva Foundation, she actively works to raise awareness about gender violence, capacity building, embroidery painting, and disseminating information about government schemes among marginalized communities. Neha Sharma also contributes to the economic empowerment of marginalized women through embroidery training. Despite facing challenges in spreading awareness, being a Dalit woman, she remains dedicated to providing access to justice for women.
Member- Mr. Vijay Prakash : is social development sector professional, has experience in political awareness campaign, and also working as operational director in Reify Consultancy. He is engaged in initiative called Aripan in which he works with tribal community for their socio- economic empowerment through recognizing their arts and generating livelihood opportunities for them.He holds a master degree in social work form Tata Institute of Social Sciences, has worked across India in 9 states namely Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand and West Bengal.
Member- Ms. Farhat Aara: Farhat Aara, an experienced educationalist, joined the Eva Foundation as a trustee in 2021. Specializing in research on gender inequality and reasons behind school dropouts among the underprivileged, her work includes curriculum development, syllabus selection, and the development of new educational techniques for marginalized communities. Active in educational fields, she has been part of the ICSE Board correction for the past three years. Farhat’s involvement in Eva Foundation includes interacting with survivors, understanding the root causes of their problems, and aiding them through the foundation. Facing challenges like convincing parents to fight for their daughters’ justice, her team remains motivated to provide access to justice for marginalized Dalit and Muslim women.
Member- Ms. Sheezan Nezami: Sheezan Nezami, a journalist with a postgraduate degree in Journalism from Jamia, focuses on women-related issues, politics, and health. She has highlighted various concerns, including the lack of toilets for women in public places and maternal health. Her documentary on manual scavenging, titled “This Filthy Life,” won awards and was featured in a German film festival. Currently associated with the Times of India, she serves as a principal correspondent in the Editorial department. Sheezan works with survivors of heinous crimes, providing them access to free legal aid through the Eva Foundation. She acknowledges the challenging task of counseling victims to fight back and commends Eva Foundation for its commendable work in helping survivors restart their lives.
