Empowering the Weaker Sections of Society Through Justice and Legal Awareness
The Bihar Legal Network (BLN) is a collective initiative aimed at ensuring access to justice for the weaker sections of the society in Bihar. It builds a decentralized legal support system by connecting sensitive and socially committed advocates at the district level. Through legal aid, advocacy, training, and research, BLN addresses challenges in atrocity cases and strengthens the voice of underrepresented communities within the legal system.
Significance of BLN
The Bihar Legal Network (BLN) is a first-of-its-kind initiative in Bihar focused on the legal empowerment of the weaker sections of the society. It ensures their voices are represented in courts and strengthens access to justice through a decentralized legal support system at the district level.
Mission
To build a strong network of advocates from weaker sections of the society across Bihar to provide legal support, ensure representation in courts, and promote social justice through awareness and education.
Why We Do What We Do
BLN was formed to counter systemic denial of justice to the weaker section of the society. These groups often face caste-based discrimination, wrongful arrests, delays in FIR registration, and neglect in the judicial process. We exist to ensure justice is not a privilege but a right for all, especially the most marginalized.
