Priya Kumari is from a small village Gobanpura of Phulwari Sharif Patna. She is just 20 years old, and a dedicated volunteer of Eva Foundation. Priya’s father is retired as a cleaning worker. Priya has four brothers and sisters, and all the responsibilities to run the family are on the shoulder Priya. She works as a social worker and runs her own house too.

Despite the financial constraints, Priya did not give up her studies and continued to progress in Baba Sahib Ambedkar’s mission. Priya talks about Baba Sahib from house to house in her colony, holds meetings with the people of her community, and motivates the girls of her community to go to school for education. She also teaches the children of her community in the evening to mainstream them in schools through enrollment.Priya says – “Baba Sahib said that education is the key to every success” Only by getting education, we can achieve success.

Priya further adds “my height is very short. When I go to work, people do not listen to me, what a small girl will explain to us, they think like that. A lot of such challenges came but I will compete with them and keep moving forward.

Priya is the first girl from Gobanpura village who is a football player, she inspires dalit girls to play football. Priya is a football coach, and shecoaches dalit girls to play football.
