Swati Kumari is from Barh Block of district Patna. Swati came to Patna in 2014 to study in 12th class where she met Ravi Kumar Shah in Patna and started loving each other. Swati was serious about Ravi whereas Ravi was cheating her for the purpose of lust.

Ravi put vermilion (sindoor) on Swati as a gesture of marriage and raped her, and she became pregnant. When Swati asked Ravi to marry her, he refused. After refusal Swati thought to fight for her right and filed domestic violence and rape case against Ravi.

Fear of punishment Ravi married to Swati in court and Swati withdrew her case. He took Swati to his home where Ravi and his family started beating Swati badly, they did not give food to them, they wanted Swati’s child to be terminated. After a few days Ravi and his family dropped out Swati from their house.

Swati came to Patna, stayed at the railway station for few days without eating anything. Then, she went to the Women’s Police Station Patna and filed a case of dowry and domestic violence against her husband and in-laws.Swati was thrown from both the houses, father’s house, and husband’s house too.

Now, Swati started living in the orphanage and fighting her case from their itself. Swati gave birth to a child which was not accepted by Ravi and refused to give his name to the child. Ravi started assassinating her character saying that the child is not mine, they started accusing Swati’s character in various ways, people used to taunt her, but Swati did not give up and continue her fight in Court and in daily life.

Advocate Savita Ali, Managing Trustee of Eva Foundation helped Swati to work in an organization. After the job, Swati’s condition was getting better. Swati started living with her child in a rented room. Swati is happy after the job and come to Court on every date.

Swati started studying and doing BSW from IGNOU. Now her child is three years old, and he goes to school and Swati is also completing her studies. Swati’s life has changed completely, and she is a successful working woman.
